Government and defence TSCM

Secure facilities, sensitive compartments, briefing rooms and official vehicles require inspection to a defined methodology, not an ad hoc search. Safe Sweep operates under NATO NCAGE code Z1NK9.

// Capability
  • NATO NCAGE Z1NK9 registered for defence and government supply.
  • Full spectrum RF analysis from 10 MHz to 12 GHz across all relevant bands.
  • Non linear junction detection locating unpowered and shielded devices.
  • Optical and thermal detection for concealed optics and powered devices in structure.
  • Documented scope and methodology recorded for every engagement.
  • Chain of custody maintained where any device is recovered.

Inspection to a defined standard

The difference between a search and a sweep is documentation. A search is someone looking. A sweep is a defined scope, a stated methodology, a recorded set of spectra and techniques applied, and a written record of every area cleared.

That matters because the output has to be relied upon by people who were not present. A report stating what was covered and how is the only basis on which a space can be treated as cleared, and the only form that stands up to review afterwards.

// 02

Scope of engagement

Secure facilities

// Controlled areas

Inspection of controlled and accredited spaces to documented methodology, with formal reporting of scope, technique and findings.

Briefing and meeting rooms

// Sensitive discussion

Pre meeting and periodic sweeps of rooms used for sensitive or classified discussion, with seal protocol where appropriate.

Official vehicles

// Mobile assets

RF and physical inspection of vehicles carrying sensitive discussion or protected persons.

Contractor premises

// Supply chain

Sweeps of contractor and supplier spaces where government information is handled or discussed.

// 03

Methodology applied

RF //

Radio frequency analysis

Systematic spectrum analysis from 10 MHz to 12 GHz identifying transmitting devices across commercial, cellular, wifi and non standard bands.

NL //

Non linear junction detection

Harmonic response analysis identifying semiconductor junctions within structure, furniture and fittings irrespective of device power state.

OP //

Optical detection

Retroreflection analysis locating optical assemblies including sub two millimetre apertures concealed within fixtures and fittings.

TH //

Thermal imaging

Thermal signature analysis identifying powered devices concealed within wall cavities, ceiling voids, furniture and building services.

PH //

Physical inspection

Systematic physical examination of fixtures, fittings, furniture, building services and cable infrastructure across the defined scope.

// 04

Reporting

Every engagement produces a written technical report recording the scope of areas covered, the methodology and equipment applied, the spectra analysed, each area assessed and cleared, and full detail of any device located including chain of custody from point of discovery.

Reporting format can be aligned to your existing requirements. Where an engagement supports an accreditation or assurance process, we structure the output to evidence what that process requires.

// FAQ

Common questions

What is your NCAGE code?
Safe Sweep operates under NATO Commercial and Government Entity code Z1NK9.
Can you work to a specified methodology or standard?
Yes. Where a department or agency requires inspection to a particular standard or internal protocol, we work to that specification and structure reporting accordingly.
Do you sweep contractor and supplier premises?
Yes. Supply chain exposure is a common requirement, covering contractor offices and any space where government information is handled or discussed.
How is the engagement documented?
A written technical report covering scope, methodology, equipment, spectra analysed, areas cleared and any findings, with chain of custody maintained for recovered devices.
