A boardroom is the most predictable target in any organisation. The sensitive discussion happens in a known room, on a known schedule, which is everything someone needs to listen to it.

A room swept on Monday and used on Friday was secure on Monday. Anyone with access in between has had four days to change that. For routine assurance that is an acceptable risk. For a board meeting deciding a transaction, it is not.
The stronger protocol is sweep, then seal. We clear the room, then it goes under controlled access with tamper indicators applied to doors and service panels, and an access log for anyone entering. If the seal is intact when you arrive, the sweep still stands.

Modern boardrooms are already full of microphones. Conference systems, ceiling mic arrays, video units, soundbars and room controllers all legitimately capture audio, and most connect to a network.
This creates two issues. A covert device hidden among legitimate AV is far harder to spot, because unusual electronics are expected there. And the legitimate equipment itself may be configured in ways nobody has reviewed, with recording enabled, cloud storage attached, or vendor access retained from installation.
We inspect installed AV as part of the sweep and flag configuration issues alongside anything covert.

We work to your calendar, not ours. That usually means the evening before or early on the morning of the session. Where a room is in continuous use we can sweep during a scheduled break, though a sealed overnight sweep is always the stronger option.
For organisations with regular board cycles, the sensible arrangement is a standing engagement tied to the meeting calendar so it happens without anyone having to remember to book it.
